: (1) The list of infectious diseases shall be as prescribed by the Government of Nepal.
(2) It shall be the duty of the concerned person to inform the health institution or public health authority if a high-risk infectious disease is observed in a place.
(3) If a person is found to be affected by an infectious disease, his/her treatment should be done immediately by the relevant health institution or health worker.
(4) If a patient of the listed infectious diseases is identified, the related health institution or health worker shall transmit the information to the related body within the specified time period according to the specified criteria.
(5) On the basis of the information received according to sub-section (4), the local level will be responsible for further study and management in a timely manner by taking the necessary support from the province and the ministry.
(6) The health institution should make necessary arrangements for the treatment of patients with infectious diseases.
(7) Other provisions related to the prevention of infectious diseases shall be as prescribed.
